Hi there, my name is Dan and welcome to my class 47 picture gallery.
All pictures here are from my own collection.
Alot of them are scanned 6x4" prints, but i haven't got the worlds most expensive scanner unfortunately!

 | 15th Aug 2009 | Seaside Express railtour
47501 and 47802 were used on the 'Rail Blue Charters' tour from Chesterfield-Paignton and return on sat 15th aug 2009. The DRS pair ran in multiple until the the return trip, where 47802 got removed at Exeter after it kept tripping its circuit breakers. 47501 continued alone back to Chesterfield.

 | 6th Oct 2008 | Cotswold to the rescue. (Again!)
47818 got hired to FGW after more trouble with their 'ronnies'. Here it is on 22/9/2008 working the 'up' midnight. 47828 took over the next day after 818 was needed back in Anglia.

In july 2006, First Great Western had more trouble with their class 57 fleet, so they hired in their former machine 47813 to work their sleeper trains. 47828 made an appearence too.
